		<description>Well, we live on the third floor of a building that does not come with equipped with a garden, a garden hose, or easy external access to water.  Otherwise, I surely would have done that.  I mean, what kind of idiot washes a tree in a bathtub if he has access to a garden hose?!  :-P</description>

		<description>I wouldn&#039;t dispute that washing salt from a tree/plant might help if it didn&#039;t like salt but why not hose it down in the garden/street?
I suppose any story beginning with &quot;adopting stray&quot; trees is just the beginning of a path leading to you bathing them indoors like a small child rather than hosing them down outside like a tree.. ;-P</description>

		<description>In case it&#039;s not clear, we didn&#039;t actually &lt;em&gt;wash&lt;/em&gt; the dirt.  We removed all the potentially salt-poisoned dirt and replaced it with new potting soil.  We didn&#039;t manage to filter out all of the dirt and small rocks attached the root ball and that&#039;s how we might have ended up with rocks in the filter system.</description>
